OOC PREFERENCES:
•CONTACT METHOD: Plurk
•THREAD-JACKING: Sure
•FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: Unlikely to come up but prefer to avoid this
•BACKTAGGING: Yes
•AVOIDED TOPICS: N/A
•PREFERRED GENDER PRONOUN: ey/em
IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: Almost the end of book three, dying in the crash after the battle over Jai
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: On a shallow read, a young, spindly, rather pretty human, looks in his late teens, with a lot of flyaway dark hair to hide behind. To anyone with appropriate scanners, sensors, or magic, he's more machine than man, at least by volume. Full of nanobots and implanted devices, and they're powered by soul-eating god-computers. He's obsessively tidy and generally reeks of soap. He'll adopt local clothes more or less, probably winding up in jeans and hoodies, except that he'll be wearing pretty headscarves low over his forehead. These conceal the titanium plates on his forehead, the only visible sign of an angelic nature at his level.
•DEMEANOR: Polite, quiet, trying not to attract attention, amiably friendly if a conversation happens. Inoffensive to a pathological degree.
•ABILITIES: One of Elu's few remaining working implants is microexpression-reading software, so he's liable to be uncannily good at getting people's emotions. Otherwise, he heals a bit faster and doesn't age. His brain is mostly computer, but since he can't connect to anything here, that doesn't do him a lot of good.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Elu does still have blood and most organs and bones, but he's shot through with surgically implanted technology and full of nanobots. In the event of an injury, he'll probably need to go right to cybernetics. He can be injured in the usual ways, though he's a bit more resilient and has some control over his reactions to injuries in general.
•CABIN INFORMATION: Bland. It'll be hard to distinguish it from the door of an empty cabin. Inside is a bed, a closet, and not much else, because at home he's his own computer, entertainment system, and library. It looks like a faintly futury hotel room.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Religion, souls, gods, anything in that general category, though "archly amused" might be more accurate. Implying that being an accessory to war crimes is bad might get whining.
IC PERMISSIONS:
•MENTAL: This will probably work better on him if it's technological, and anything that could be defined as eldritch he's specifically defended against. Also he'll freak the fuck out but that'd be fun.
•MIMICRY: Sure
•VIOLENCE: It'll be really easy to win, go for it.
•MAGIC: He will hate it! And check in because of his anti-uncanny protections.
•DEBATE: Try. It'll be terrible. He'll just agree to everything.
•OTHER / NOTES: Elu's microexpression thing is completely opt-in. He also has a specific mental block where it comes to The Outside, which is basically anything eldritch or uncanny or mythos-y, to the point where he can't even perceive its effects.
